The tax authorities are receiving an increasing amount of data on sales from an internet platform, including from sellers who sell "privately". The tax office then writes to the relevant citizens if someone sells "a lot".

Anyone who regularly sells items with the intention of making a profit is considered to be trading commercially and must pay tax on the profits.

Considerable profits can also be made from collectors. However, the classic collector is tax-free, even if the collection is dissolved.

The details are explained in the video.

The video was first broadcast on TV Mittel rhein and Westerwald-TV.
