The landlord must provide a heatable apartment. The heating must be switched on during the so-called heating period. There is no fixed deadline for when this heating period begins and when it ends. Rather, it depends on the temperature in the apartment, as is explained in more detail in the video.

During the day, the temperature in a rented apartment must generally be between 20 and 22 °C. At night, the temperature can drop to 18°C, as it is recognized that the landlord has an interest in lowering the temperature at night. An apartment that only reaches between 15°C and 16°C in the morning is inadequate. A homeowners' association cannot determine anything different by majority vote.
