Photovoltaic systems can be legally classified as not being part of the building. This has significant implications for the warranty. It is likely that this will also apply to battery storage. In this case, the statutory warranty is only two years from the date of delivery.
Of course, there can still be a manufacturer's warranty in addition to this. This is provided by the manufacturer. However, the warranty conditions are usually very restrictive, so you should not let the system manufacturer refer you to the manufacturer as long as the warranty is still running.
However, this may not apply if the defect in the power storage device was caused by a software update from the manufacturer.
