BIM (Building Information Modeling) is a planning method in the construction industry that involves the creation and management of digital virtual representations of the physical and functional properties of a structure. The building models represent a database of information about the building in order to provide a reliable source for decisions throughout its entire life cycle; from the first preliminary planning to demolition.
The presentation was given at the 2017 Engineering Law Day of the Lower Saxony Chamber of Engineers.
The statements represent initial information that was current for the law applicable in Germany at the time of initial publication. The legal situation may have changed since then.
