Rhineland-Palatinate has recently raised the value limits for the award of public contracts significantly. Up to €200,000 can be awarded with few formal requirements.
In July 2019, the Federal Court of Justice made a decision on damages that makes claims for damages for bidders much easier. The bidder must, in principle, give notice of defects within certain deadlines. However, according to the new decision, this is no longer necessary in order to be able to claim damages at a later date.
