The lecture deals with the entrepreneur's duty of inspection and notification during the construction phase. It will be explained what exactly the duties of inspection and notification are and how they are to be exercised. It will then be explained that, when properly applied by the contractor, these obligations of the client – usually the building owner – arise and the contractor can then be released from liability for the work. Furthermore, illustrative examples from current case law are presented for both contractors and clients in order to connect theory and practice.
