In principle, the landlord of a rented apartment has no general right to inspect the apartment.

However, if there are defects to be inspected or other significant reasons, then there may be a right to inspect. Even then, however, there may be special circumstances in which a representative must act.

The landlord may also check if the tenant has carried out repairs themselves. The building fabric is in the landlord's interest.
